Quick answers about installing, chatting and where the duck shows up.
Installation and compatibility
- FernanDuck works on iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or later.
- There is no Android, Mac or web version.
- No account is needed.
Conversation and AI
- On devices with Apple Intelligence turned on, the conversation runs on the device.
- Without Apple Intelligence, you can add your API key in the app's Settings. The key stays in your device's Keychain and is never entered on this site.
- Without AI, the duck keeps talking with handwritten lines.
Widgets, Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
- To add a widget, touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget. Search for FernanDuck.
- The Live Activity starts with a focus session and appears on the Lock Screen and, on supported iPhones, in the Dynamic Island.
- The duck doesn't appear on top of other apps: iOS doesn't allow it.
Permissions and data
- The app only asks for Reminders, Calendar or location access when you confirm an action that needs it.
- To erase everything, open Settings in the app and tap Delete all data.
- To get help, you never need to send your API key, your conversations or your location.
