This website
- Uses Google Analytics only if you accept it in the cookie notice, to learn which parts of the site get visited. No ad pixels, social media embeds or forms. You can change your choice in the footer, under Cookies.
- It also counts visits in aggregate with Vercel Web Analytics, without cookies and without storing anything on your device. Vercel Speed Insights measures, the same way, how fast pages load.
- Fonts and images are served by the site itself.
- The hosting provider may keep technical access logs, such as IP address and browser, for security and operations.
The app
- FernanDuck has no account and no tracking. It only sends anonymous usage data (like starting a focus session, caring for the duck or earning an item) through Google Analytics for Firebase, tied to a random app ID. It never includes what you write or say to the duck, memories, keys, reminders, calendar, location or songs. Only with your permission, asked at the end of the app's intro; change it anytime in Settings → Share usage data.
- Focus history, habitat items, settings and the duck's state stay on your device and can be erased in Settings → Delete all data.
- With Apple Intelligence, the assistant runs on your device. Nothing is sent.
- With your own API key (optional), the text you type, the duck's personality, your language and the current time go straight from your device to the provider you chose, under its terms. The key stays in the Keychain.
- Reminders, events and alarms are only created after you confirm. The app doesn't read your reminders or calendar.
- When you ask about the weather, your location is used once to get the Apple Weather forecast and isn't stored.
- Notifications are local only, to tell you when a focus or break ends.
